Dr. Courtney Veasey
Founder and director of Brunch Ministries, Dr. Courtney Veasey brings twenty years of public Bible teaching experience to those she continues to serve through Christian enrichment and leadership focused events. Courtney is also a feature writer for Lifeway’s Journey Magazine and serves as a teaching and research fellow and PhD adviser with The Alexandrian Institute, specializing in biblical studies and languages. Her previous ministry service includes local church, parachurch, and academic posts held in Florida, Louisiana, South Carolina, and California. Courtney is a graduate of Florida Southern College (BA), New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv; PhD), and Gateway Seminary (ThM). Additionally, Courtney loves a good sauce and finding the perfect greeting card for every occasion.

Lisa Appelo is a speaker and best-selling author of Life Can Be Good Again: Putting Your World Back Together After It All Falls Apart. Lisa inspires women to find hope in grief and deepen their faith in life's storms. Her work has been featured at multiple media outlets including LIFE Today, Cornerstone Television Network, Insight for Living, Ann Voskamp, Proverbs 31 Ministries, Risen Motherhood, and Her View From Home and in several best-selling books including Praying Through Loneliness and So God Made a Grandma. Her next book releases with Bethany House in 2026. A former litigating attorney, Lisa writes at LisaAppelo.com, is a leader with the national organization Never Alone Widows, and serves on the Executive Team for COMPEL with Proverbs 31 Ministries. She’s a single mom of seven and Nonni to 15 on the east coast of Florida.

Vertical Worship
Vertical Worship is a group of worship leaders and songwriters from Harvest Bible Chapel in Chicagoland with a heart to lead people in passionate, Christ-centered worship. Formerly known as Vertical Church Band, the group began in 2012 with Live Worship from Vertical Church and went on to release four albums that landed in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Christian Albums chart. Songs like “Yes I Will,” “Open Up the Heavens,” “Spirit of the Living God,” and “Exalted Over All” have encouraged churches all over the world to lift their eyes to Jesus.
The album Church Songs was named one of Worship Leader’s Best Albums of 2015, and “Spirit of the Living God” was listed among the year’s top worship songs. In 2018, “Yes I Will” was certified Gold and received a Dove Award nomination for Worship Song of the Year. After taking time to rest, reflect, and seek the Lord, we’re stepping back in with renewed passion, fresh songs, and the same calling: to exalt the name of Jesus. Some faces are new, others familiar—but the mission remains the same.
